Top Fuel Dragster $300.00 Invitational July 18, 2009 On July 5, 2009 Lynwood held the IMDRA North Central Division 3 Regional Race #2. A good turnout of racers attended from as far way as Indianapolis, Indiana and Richmond, Indiana. Lynwood RC Dragway & IMDRA would like to thank all the racers that attended.
All Litespeed Engineering Nitro Top Fuel Final
The finals in Nitro T/F dragster pitted Ron "Black Rushin" Walker with his Nitro Dynamics USA powered dragster (black car) against Ken "Tuslow" Skinner and his Litespeed powered dragster (blue car) in the finals. The cars left the line and Ken's car drifted ever so slightly over the center line while Ron drove his car right down the track to collect the win. Watch Video
The Litespeed Engineering Area 51 t/f dragsters dominated the racing as Ed "fastman" Stern set the top qualifying e.t. at 1.541 at 86.3 mph in the first round of qualifying. Ed then set down at 1.585 and a 1.571 in rounds two and three. Ed Stern runs a modified Nova Rossi that is prepared by Nitro Dynamics USA. In the battle of the t/f direct drive cars Ken "Tuslow" Skinner's Litespeed sponsored Area 51 took out Jerry" jerrynewbie" Rogers with his Eric Johnson chassis direct drive t/f dragster.
Rey "Stangrey" Perez
Grandmotorsports sponsored Rey "Stangrey" Perez outlasted the Pro Mod competition to take the win in P/M with his Nitro Dynamics USA powered Studebaker as Ron Walker could not make the call due to mechanical problems. The top qualifier in P/M was Kevin "OnStat" Moore with a 1.812 e.t. at 74.1 mph.
Jason Moore (near side) stages against Austin Norris
Jason Moore (above) drove his Nitro Dynamics USA modified OS TZ .18 pro stock mustang to the win over Austin Norris with his altered coupe entry in the Lynwood Bracket Class.
Marcus "Big Pound" stages against Tom "Iceman"
The IMDRA Sanctioned Bracket Class finals Marcus "Big Pound" Hall (near side) gets the spot from Tom "Iceman" Olzsweski. Marcus couldn't get away far enough as Tom "Iceman" ran him down to take the win in the bracket class. Watch Video
